Fraser Dove International partnered exclusively with a biologics organisation specialising in producing innovative oncology treatments for people with cancer.

Our client was rapidly expanding their operations in Europe but they were struggling to identify and secure enough talent in a tight timeframe. Expanding their operations in a new geographical area additionally meant that their name was unfamiliar to local talent which was having an effect on their ability to attract desirable talent.

Our client approached Fraser Dove with two roles they required help with; an MSAT (Manufacturing, Science & Technology) Manager of Drug Products and a Quality Assurance Manager. Both roles were essential to ensure our client success in the European Market and to manage the external supply network.

Solution: Partnership Search

Partnership Search helps life science organisations to identify and secure high-impact talent with the ability to add value to existing and future operations. This exclusive offering was the ideal solution for these highly specific and esteemed positions.

Following the discovery call for the MSAT Manager position, the Assignment Lead – Richard Dane – commenced the search for the ideal candidate. The initial search proved to be challenging due to the levelling of the role; our client wanted a senior candidate but were averse to giving the position a senior job title. After conducting initial interviews and realising that something was amiss with these candidates, Richard worked closely with the hiring manager, TA and US stakeholders to redefine and upgrade the seniority of the role.

Following Richard’s success of his search, our client reached out to Fraser Dove with another high-quality role with an extremely niche skill set. The Assignment Lead – Peter Vedde – took on the search for a Quality Assurance Manager by conducting in-depth assessments and delivering a shortlist of 5 exceptional candidates. The search was conducted during the coronavirus pandemic, which meant that enticing candidates to relocate with so much uncertainty was particularly strenuous. Our client insisted that their search for the ideal candidate in Switzerland had turned up dry, but Peter was persistent in his localised search and managed to uncover an exceptional candidate.

Outcome:

The successful MSAT candidate had the flexibility, seniority, expertise and communication to match the West Coast company culture that our client was looking for.

From start to finish, the search for the Quality Assurance Manager took 3-4 months to secure the successful candidate. She had the communication skills they were looking for and the ability to serve as the face of the organisation, something which they hadn’t found in other candidates. As a result of the success of this search, the client approached Peter with another role to fill for their European operations.

From these two searches, a great relationship was established between our client and Fraser Dove. Our client was delighted with how Richard and Peter were able to understand, position and sell the organisation to candidates. As a result of their active headhunting and networking with relevant top talent, they were able to increase our client’s visibility and presence in the European market.
