Fraser Dove International partnered exclusively with a medical device organisation specialising in the development and manufacture of instrument systems and reagents to advance medical diagnosis and improve patient outcomes. 

Our client was overhauling their supply chain to optimise existing processes and integrate newly acquired organisations as a result of recent mergers and acquisitions. The company had adopted a complex matrix structure, which meant there were multiple stakeholders and reporting lines to navigate. 

Our client sought a Vice President of Global Supply Planning to deliver savings and increase profitability. This individual would oversee this business-critical transformation and ensure it delivered its objectives.

Traditionally, our executive search process lasts twelve weeks, but on this occasion, our client had requested an unusually large shortlist; twenty-five profiles in total. Three additional weeks were set aside for candidate qualification, with the Search Lead, Liam Wallis, qualifying over ninety candidates. 

Shortlist submitted, Liam managed the interview and offer process on behalf of the client, aligning candidate and client diaries and helping to make travel arrangements. With all twenty-five shortlisted individuals invited to interview, many travelling from across the US, Europe and Asia to attend, this was no mean feat. Disseminating post-interview feedback was equally time-consuming and challenging.


There could only be one victor; the successful candidate having an engaging leadership style, and previous experience in supply chain transformation. The offer he received went beyond his expectations, no doubt in part due to Liam successfully managing both client and candidate expectations throughout the search process. Once appointed in the role, the client retained Fraser Dove on future searches; a testament to Fraser Dove’s ability to match top talent with life science organisations and their urgently required positions.
